Do you remember the board that I made from trophy scrap? Today, I used that board to make a banana hook for my mother-in-law and father-in-law.
The board remnant in the background of this image was the source of the scrap wood. By scrap, I mean the wood left over after cutting out the award blanks (on top). I used a table saw to cut off the top and bottom edge.

After cutting off the top and bottom edges, the strips were planed and glued together. The final board dimensions were about 18.875″ x 8″ x 0.364″.

The thickness of the board seemed to be perfect for my banana hook project, so off to the Shapeoko CNC I went for a morning of milling. The two components were cutout, sanded, and then glued together.
