Behold, upon a serendipitous visit to the woodworking emporium, did mine eyes fall upon a piece of Purpleheart wood, magnificent in hue and unparalleled in beauty. With a heart full of purpose, I sought the counsel of my beloved wife, inquiring if perchance she desired a creation wrought by my hands. Her reply was as sweet as elven song; she yearned for a box, to guard her treasures and trinkets, a jewelry box most fair.
Model Prototyping
In the forge of my mind, plans began to take shape. The foundation of the box would rise from the stoutness of 3/4″ material, thus requiring a prototype, that by trial and error, the perfect form may be revealed. Two parts would merge as one, crafting a base of 1.5″ in grandeur. From the remnants of my shop, I conjured forth a prototype, hewn from the humble 3/4″ plywood that lay at hand. But no ordinary lid would suffice; it must bear the inscriptions of my heart. And thus, the words, “Always and Forever,” were destined to grace its form.

Final Model
When the prototype had proved its worth, and the fit was true, I turned to the Purpleheart wood, for the final crafting. The heart-shaped segment, left as a token from the cutting of the center, too was adorned with inscription and anointed with a finish. This token I placed within the box, a secret gift, a testament to enduring love, concealed within the confines of the Purpleheart jewelry box.
Thus, the labor of my hands and the love of my heart culminated in a creation both beautiful and meaningful, destined to stand the test of time, much like the ancient tales of old.
