This was my first attempt at designing and making furniture. I chose a couch table because I always liked the idea of a table that could slide up over the cushions of the couch for easier access than a side table would provide.
The project was designed in Fusion 360. The design files were exported from F360 as DXF files for the Carbide3D software. 3/4″ maple plywood was chosen for this project. The individual parts were laid out in a way to minimize waste.
After the parts were cut out and sanded, they were glued together.
Next, I tried my hand at applying a finish.
